University City Children's Center

"Where every child is an individual."

Providing quality care and education in a safe, trusting environment is essential at University City Children's Center.

The philosophy behind our curriculum is that children learn best by doing, because active thinking and experimenting are required to discover how things work.Teachers and parents must make a conscious decision to become deeply involved in the educational and developmental process of their children.

Forest ReLEAF Awards - Arbor Day, 2008

The University City Children’s Center won the Exceptional ReLeaf award in the category of organizations for its efforts to green-up the center’s new playground.  Forest ReLeaf donated 44 trees to provide beauty and shade for the space.  A large group of volunteers helped to plant the trees, including 50 helpers from UPS, organized through a United Way Days of Caring project.  Forest ReLeaf of Missouri is a regional, not-for-profit organization founded in 1993 to promote urban and community reforestation through education and tree planting programs. For more information, call (314) 533-LEAF (5323) or visit the organization's website at www.moreleaf.org.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Gives UCCC Children an Imaginative Boost

The UCCC gallery has a new focal point, thanks to Enterprise.  The sculpture was commissioned as part of the People Project, a bi-state, regional art event.  On April 7, 2008, Enterprise gave us "Same . . . Different . . . All One Life" by Soo Sunny Park.  Check back soon to read WHAT OUR KIDS SAY about the sculpture.
