Ms. Veronica from the Supernova Classroom

I started working with children in camps, exploring the great outdoors. As part of the program, we would make short trips to state parks around Missouri. Children ages 5 to 13 had the "camping experience" by spending time at places like August A. Busch. Memorial Conservation Area, interacting and understanding nature. From this point on, I knew I wanted to continue to understand the world from a child's point of view and encourage and inspire children to learn and explore.

In the last 12 years at UCCC, I have had the opportunity to not only grow as an educator, but also better understand myself and grow as a person. My experience at UCCC has been unique with so many opportunities to be involved in programming and curriculum.

At UCCC, we create partnerships. I feel connected to parents and staff. I feel confident opening the door to conversations that strengthen our approach and help families.

I feel supported with resources so that I can continue my journey as a lifelong learner. What might people not know about me? It's a Wonderful Life is one of my all-time favorites. I love the messages that you're here for a reason, your presence matters, and it takes the village.
