Name: Kara Kirchherr

Room: Moonbeams I

Bio:  My name is Ms. Kara and I have been an infant-toddler teacher in the Moonbeam rooms since the July 2007. With the exception of living four years in Germany between the ages of 2-6, I have lived in St. Louis most of my life, and grew attending University City Schools from Kindergarten through high-school. I graduated from Truman State University in 2007 with a B.A. in history and moved back to St. Louis to be near my family. I have completed my Child Development Associate in 2010, completed a year-long Child Development Program at the Psychoanalytic Institute of St. Louis in 2011, and continue to take college credit courses in Early Childhood. In my free time, I love hiking and camping all around Missouri, traveling, crossing books off my to-read list, playing musical instruments, drinking lots of tea, and being an Aunt to my nephew Aiden. I love supporting the children in my class learn, grow, and develop, and becoming a partner with families to ensure the best love, care, and experiences for all our students!
