Our Partners

UCCC is thankful for our partnerships in the community. Their support helps us realize our dream of creating a truly unique and high quality early childhood program.

Foster Grandparent Program
UCCC is fortunate to partner with this program through Cardinal Ritter Senior Services. Grandparents in the program work with our classrooms on a daily basis and provide support to our teachers and children. Click here to learn more about this wonderful program.

LUME Institute
More than a partnership, LUME Institute is an integral part of University City Children's Center. LUME evolved from the values, philsophy, and methodologies embodied by UCCC in 2010. UCCC serves as the founding school, living model, and lab school for LUME Inside-Out Approach. LUME brings that model to other organizations involved in early childhood education through courses and coaching that develops teachers, administrators, and families. Click here for more information on LUME and their partners.

St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute
UCCC and LUME Institute have longstanding partnerships with St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute as a Community Education Collaborative Partner. Several UCCC staff and teachers have completed the Child Development Program (click here for more information about the CDP) through the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. The St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute supports UCCC's ongoing Healthy Minds for the Future program where analysts visit classrooms on a regular basis and consult with the teachers about the children in their care. This partnership began in 2000.

Soldan International Studies High School
UCCC has partnered with Soldan International Studies High School and created an opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in early childhood education, leadership, business management, marketing, and human services. Each year UCCC has 1-2 interns from January to April. For more information on Soldan click here

Special School District of St. Louis Vocational Skills Program
UCCC has been partnering with Special School District's Vocational Skills Program since the 2006 school year. Each new school year, up to six students attend the program at UCCC. These students handle all UCCC's laundry, assist in the kitchen, organize and maintain UCCC's library, help with any meeting setup, as well as help sanitize and clean as needed throughout UCCC. The help these students provide through their work and their presence is incredibly valuable to the UCCC family and immeasurable!

YWCA Head Start Program
Effective January 2007, University City Children's Center became a partner in the YWCA Head Start Program. This enables us to serve several qualified families at a reduced rate of tuition. View the Age & Income requirements on the YWCA website.

Youth In Need Early Head Start
Youth In Need is dedicated to building positive futures for the community’s most vulnerable children, teens and families. Read more about Youth In Need's Early Head Start program on the Youth in Need website.
