Part II of our Family Matters Discussion about 21st Century Discipline is

Wednesday, October 23

Given all the challenges we are facing as adults in terms of discipline and the things going on in our Nation’s capital, it’s important to remember that our children are watching what we do, how we respond to events in the world, and how we discipline ourselves in the midst of a lot of change.

They are also watching to see how flexible we are and if we can laugh and have fun with them and still be consistent in how we approach creating some order in their lives.  At different developmental stages, children need different types of discipline, especially as they are developing their own internal resources for self management.

Part II of this series will focus on how to evolve as parents and meet the developmental needs of your children.  Bring your questions and your stories and share some commonalities with other UCCC parents.  Parent feedback indicates that you really like connecting with other parents and getting ideas from each other.  We hope to see you at 5:00 p.m. on October 23rd.
