United Way & Walgreens offering free flu shots

United Way 2-1-1 is collaborating with Walgreens to increase awareness and encourage eligible individuals who are uninsured or under insured to get immunized against the flu.
Free flu shot vouchers are available at participating Walgreens in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. Clair County (IL), and Madison County (IL) between October 21 and December 31.
To take part in this program, individuals connected to United Way agencies should:
- Call 2-1-1 or 1-800-427-4626 and inquire about the free Walgreens flu shots
- 211 will give the caller the participating Walgreens location most convenient to them
- Go to the pharmacy counter at that Walgreens location and tell them that 211 referred them for a free flu shot
