Zero to Three Conference

A group of teachers and administrators had the opportunity to visit New Orleans a couple weeks ago and fill ourselves with information and inspiration (and some delicious food) at the National Zero to Three Conference. A special thanks to Youth In Need for supporting us to attend!

We want to share our thoughts about the impact of the conference:

"For me, I was reassured that we are on the right path. Many of the sessions and speakers confirmed that we are moving in the right direction; it was refreshing to be validated. I would like others to know that UCCC is ahead of the pack in our reflective thinking, "What happens Early in Life Last a Lifetime."  - Ms. Peaches

"Throughout the conference, I heard the importance of attachment and reflection repeated over and over. It affirmed to me that I need to reflect on who I am and what I'm doing in relation to others so that I can improve my practice. There was a big feeling of solidarity among the speakers and conference attendees that we all need to work together to elevate the issues around early childhood in all parts of our society."   - Ms. Hitomi

"It was a wonderful experience to be in a place where you can see people from all over the country who are passionate about and working tirelessly to improve the well-being of young children and families. I heard from a lot of professionals in our field and across other disciplines who inspired me to continue to think more deeply about how to strengthen and improve the work we are already doing with children, families, and teachers at UCCC." - Ms. Jessica

"The conference has forever impacted the work I will and continue to do with children. I have a deeper and different awareness and I better understand why the work I do here at UCCC is so important." - Ms. Ashley
